Sports Club Insurance
Our sports club consultants will take time to understand your sports club, its staff and members, and provide bespoke cover for your needs. However, it is likely it will consist of the following elements:
Trustee Indemnity Insurance
Many sports clubs have a trust board made up of volunteers. Trustee Indemnity Insurance covers the legal costs and expenses of defending against the disqualification or incompetence of a trustee, investigations and proceedings.
Professional Indemnity Insurance
PI Insurance covers the cost of defending your sports clubs against allegations of professional negligence. If your club provides coaching or training to its members – as most sports clubs do – PI Insurance protects against claims that be made against you if the service is sub standard or injuries occurred. This also includes legal fees. Cover can be up to £1 million.
Public Liability Insurance
Covers the cost of defending your sports club if someone is injured, or their property damaged, due to your negligence. This includes club members, parents and spectators. Many of the common personal injuries would be covered, including legal fees and compensation payments. Cover is usually standard at £5 million.
Employers Liability Insurance
If you have employees OR volunteers, this covers any injuries or accidents they may have in the course of their work at the sports club.
Property Damage Insurance
Quite simply, any damage, vandalism, fire or other damage to the buildings and contents of your Sports Club and surrounding fields, equipment etc.
